We are seeking a passionate and experienced Women Services Officer to lead and expand our financial inclusion program, empowering women through community mobilization, Self-Help Group (SHG) engagement, and capacity-building initiatives. This role is critical in bridging financial service gaps for underserved women by facilitating training, tracking progress through MIS systems, and ensuring program impact.


The ideal candidate is a woman from the community with a strong background in project coordination, data management, and grassroots engagement, committed to driving financial independence for women.


Salary range: Rs.25,000 - Rs. 30,000



Key Responsibilities


Community Engagement and Mobilization:


  • Mobilize Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to enhance financial inclusion.
  • Conduct regular meetings with SHG members to assess needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Foster relationships with community leaders, banks, and stakeholders to improve access to financial services.


Training and Capacity Building:

  • Organize and facilitate financial literacy training sessions for SHG members.
  • Conduct leadership and skill-building workshops for SHG leaders.


Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update the MIS system to track program progress, household targets, and financial service gaps.
  • Prepare regular reports on program impact, challenges, and success stories.


Qualifications and Skills


Required:


  • Minimum 12th Class pass (Higher education preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in the social sector, preferably working with women’s empowerment, SHGs, or financial inclusion programs.
  • Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills.
  • Fluency in Urdu and Telugu with English language proficiency.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, data entry).


Preferred (Bonus) Skills:


  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of government schemes and banking services for women.

We are looking for a detail-oriented MIS Operator to support our Community Resource Centre (CRC) in processing, submitting, and tracking government entitlement applications. Your role will ensure that community members receive seamless assistance in submitting error-free applications for critical welfare schemes.


The ideal candidate will have strong data management skills, experience with MIS systems and Excel.  


Salary range: Rs.15,000 - Rs. 20,000 



Key Responsibilities


Application Processing and Documentation:

  • Accurately document and process government entitlement applications.
  • Verify submitted applications for completeness and correctness to minimize errors.
  • Maintain organized records of all applications and approvals.


MIS and Data Management:

  • Update and manage the program MIS system to track application statuses.
  • Generate regular reports on submission progress, approvals, and rejections.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all documentation.


Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Assist community members with application queries and follow-ups.
  • Provide timely updates to the team on application trends and challenges.


Qualifications and Skills


Required: 

  • Minimum 12th Class pass (Higher education preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience working with MIS systems in a social sector, NGO, or government-related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, basic reporting).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The Community Cadre plays a vital role in engaging with local communities, facilitating access to entitlements, and supporting program implementation through grassroots outreach. This position involves mobilizing community members, assisting with documentation, conducting surveys, and acting as a liaison between beneficiaries and the NGO. 


The ideal candidate should be passionate about community development, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have experience working directly with vulnerable populations  


Salary: Rs.15,000  



Key Responsibilities


Community Mobilization and Awareness: 

  •  Increase community awareness on entitlement schemes and their application process. 


Documentation Support:

  • Assist community members in gathering and preparing necessary documents (e.g., IDs, applications, proof of eligibility) to access social welfare schemes, grants, or other entitlements.
  • Guide beneficiaries through application processes and follow up with relevant authorities as needed.


Data Collection and Surveys: 

  • Conduct field surveys, needs assessments, and baseline/endline studies to gather community-level data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of survey findings into databases or reporting tools


Reporting and Coordination: 

  • Compile and submit regular field reports to the Program Manager, highlighting challenges, successes, and community feedback.
  • Serve as a bridge between the community, the NGO and government departments, escalating issues and ensuring smooth communication.


Qualifications and Skills


Required: 

  • 10th Class Pass or equivalent (additional training in community development, social work, or related fields is a plus).
  • Prior experience in community mobilization, social work, or fieldwork with NGOs/CBOs.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills in local languages 
  • Familiarity with government welfare schemes and application processes.
  • Basic digital literacy 
  • Ability to work with diverse groups, including marginalized communities, with cultural sensitivity.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned areas.

Seeking Experts: External Assessment of Financial and Administrative Systems


 Yugantar invites experienced professionals or consulting agencies to conduct a comprehensive external assessment of its financial management, administrative systems, and governance practices. This assessment will support the organization’s goals of enhancing accountability, improving internal processes, and aligning with best practices in the development sector. 


Objectives 


Yugantar is committed to continuous improvement in financial accountability and administrative effectiveness. Through this assessment, we aim to:

  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Improve the efficiency of financial and administrative operations
  • Ensure alignment with donor requirements, legal obligations, and sectoral standards
  • Enhance institutional policies and procedures related to finance, HR, and governance


Scope of Work


The consultant will be expected to assess and provide actionable recommendations in the following areas:


1. Financial Management Systems 

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes
  • Fund flow and donor reporting mechanisms
  • Internal controls and fraud prevention practices
  • Audit preparedness and financial compliance
  • Evaluation of accounting software and tools


 2. Administrative Systems 

  • Human resources (contracts, payroll, grievance redressal, legal compliance)
  • Procurement and asset management policies
  • Record-keeping, documentation, and filing systems
  • Evaluation of administrative workflows and coordination mechanisms


 3. Governance & Compliance 

  • Review of board oversight, reporting lines, and decision-making frameworks
  • Regulatory compliance (tax, labor laws, FCRA, etc.)
  • Organizational risk identification and mitigation strategies


Deliverables 

  • Detailed assessment report highlighting strengths, gaps, and risks
  • Practical recommendations with timelines and priorities
  • Sample templates or revised policy suggestions (as relevant)
  • Optional capacity-building sessions for finance and admin teams
  • Follow-up guidance 


Consultant Profile 


We seek individuals or firms with:

  • Proven experience assessing financial and administrative systems in NGOs
  • Strong understanding of Indian regulatory and donor accountability frameworks
  • Experience in developing or refining internal policies and tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams at all levels
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and reporting skills
