PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY

Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment

Yugantar is an equal opportunity employer and has a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment in any form. The organisation is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace where all employees, interns, volunteers, partners, and visitors are treated with dignity and fairness.


Sexual harassment is strictly prohibited, and all complaints will be handled promptly, sensitively, and with strict confidentiality.

Procedure for Filing a Complaint


1. Submission of Complaint
A complaint should be submitted in writing, either:

  • By email to any ICC member or the ICC email address, or 
  • As a physical written submission. 


The complaint should include relevant details and supporting evidence where available, such as:

  • Emails, messages, or communication records 
  • Audio recordings or transcripts 
  • Information about previous incidents (if applicable) 
  • Names and contact details of witnesses 


If the complaint is against a member of the ICC, it should be reported to: Tejaswini Madhabushi (CEO) – tejaswini@yugantar.org.in


2. Notice to the Respondent
Within 7 working days of receiving the complaint, the ICC will share a copy of the complaint and issue a formal notice to the respondent.


3. Response from the Respondent
The respondent must submit a written response within 10 working days of receiving the notice. The response may include supporting evidence, communication records, and witness details.


4. Inquiry Process
The ICC will conduct a fair inquiry into the complaint and ensure that the investigation is completed within 90 days from the date of receiving the complaint, in accordance with the PoSH Act.


This policy is aligned with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
