About the Projects:
The first pandemic-related project was carried out from April 2020 to June 2020. It educated the public about Covid-19 through workshops and supported marginalised sections of society through distribution of medical supplies and rations.
The second pandemic-related project focused on supporting Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and ASHA workers, improving access to and reducing stigma surrounding testing, and setting up an ambulance facility and Covid-19 tele-consultation support. This project was carried out from August 2020 to December 2020 in the Chandrayangutta area. A second run was carried out from May 2021 to August 2021.
The third project is currently on-going and involves supporting PHCs and running vaccination camps in 21 low-income/slum areas in Hyderabad. It began in September 2021 and will continue till March 2022. The project spans 6 PHCs and aims to have approximately 77,000 people fully immunised by its date of completion. Great efforts have been made to reduce vaccine hesitancy and mobilise the target communities in these areas to ensure the success of the vaccination camps.
